About PSP

Pre-Studies Program (PSP)

PSP is a One year program for students who have completed their schooling in their home country (min. 12 years) and would like to pursue their Bachelor education in Germany. This is primarily designed for qualified international students who intend to enroll in a Bachelor's program in Engineering or Economics in Germany and whose secondary-school diploma does not qualify for direct access to a Bachelor’s program at a German university. PSP Course - Language is German.

As German school system consists of 13 years of Schooling, Students from India have to go through a Pre University Program (Studienkolleg) in Germany, only then they are eligible to join the Bachelors Programs. All other students can join ICPF Program.

So PSP is the coursework which helps students from foreign countries to complete their 13th year of education thereby students are eligible for Bachelor studies. At the end of the coursework students can take an internal examination to study Bachelor courses offered at FHM University campuses or take an external examination and apply to 180+ Universities in Germany.

FAQ - PSP

NO. If you have just 12 years of schooling you cannot. You need 13 years of education to start your Bachelor studies in Germany.

Yes you are eligible for PSP as well as ICPF-Tech program (in case you want to do Engineering or Management studies).

Human Medicine (MBBS Equivalent in Germany) is highly competitive and most sought out field of study in Germany. For eg. For 200 seats for first years 2000 applications do come. Foreigners are given 8% seats so (16 in total) for which again there is a heavy competition all around the world.

So we dont want the student to think that once they complete PSP M & can go easily for Human Medicine studies, it is difficult even with our help from International office (PSP Score must be a score of 1.0 or 1.3 = 95% or 90% or more- Ofcourse the Marks in PSP does count the most and then the Higher secondary from the Home country).

This said, the student must be aware of this and also needs to be open for other life science studies, bio medical engineering, bio technology etc. where is also lots of scope for career growth.

If the student is willing to do this, then it is fine to apply for our PSP Med.

Yes! At the moment no German language certificate is required, but PSP-applicants definitely have to learn some German in advance, that means before coming to Germany, because each and every PSP-lesson will be taught in German language and the participants have to be able to follow the course.

The Course fees for PSP include the following:

- Tuition fees

- Study materials

- Examination fees

- Integration and Social Programs

- Care and Assistance

In general, blocked account is opened in the name of the Student him/herself. The money the student deposits in it is used to cover the cost of living (food, clothes, leisure activities), accommodation, any other administrative fees etc. In general this money is to cover the everyday living cost.

Note: For PSP, for ICPF Tech and for ICPF Med a Blocked Account is necessary!
